Therapy requires a level of bravery, to search deeper for answers and find strengths to a better and more fulfilling life. As Francine Shapiro said: “Clients deserve the ability to love, to bond, to excel and, if they choose, to serve others.” Diane's journey to becoming a counselor has been deeply shaped by her personal healing journey and faith. As a counselor, Diane finds great meaning in meeting her clients where they are as she helps them connect with their inner self, others, and if desired, with their faith which can lead to healing and great change.
Diane is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Phoenix Seminary in Arizona. Diane's therapeutic approach is informed by her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she is open to an eclectic approach to identify the best tools to support each client. Her background includes supporting individuals and groups through a range of challenges. She focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties and life transitions, while providing compassionate and holistic care for client's mental and emotional well-being. Diane is available to offer individual sessions to minors (6+), teens, and adults, either in-person, or via telehealth.
With more than two years of experience in full-time ministry as a pastor's wife, mom, and now as a licensed counselor, Diane has had the opportunity to provide both spiritual and emotional encouragement to those in need. She finds it to be an honor to hear clients' stories and walk alongside them on their journey toward healing and growth.
As a wife and young mom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their sons. Since she was born and raised in Africa, Rwanda, traveling and exploring the outdoors with her family always brings her a breath of fresh air.
